As you know, the construction, use, and operation of buildings currently account for 39% of global energy-related emissions (According to a report published by the World Green Building Council in 2020). This is a relatively large figure in the context of global warming. One issue raised by many investors for consulting, management, and design units is how to create new buildings while still protecting the environment and landscape. With many units cooperating and working with LPC, building renovation is currently a solution being implemented by many investors. 

Renovation Projects – Renovating and Building Green Buildings

Upgrading and renovating buildings in a sustainable direction can bring economic benefits through measures that reduce electricity, water, and other operating costs. In addition, developing green buildings not only contributes to environmental protection but also helps improve the quality of life and health of people living there.

Although there are no legal regulations yet, the development and certification activities for green buildings and energy-efficient buildings have been carried out in Vietnam for more than 15 years. More than 155 green buildings and energy-efficient buildings in Vietnam have been certified by domestic and international organizations according to the criteria and standards of LEED (United States), Green Mark (Singapore), EDGE (IFC, WB), and Lotus (VGBC).

LPC’s Outstanding Renovation Projects in 2021

2021 was considered a successful year for Lam Pham Construction – LPC, with its “connection” to renovation projects. Not stopping at the renovation of large buildings, LPC challenged itself with many different renovation works. Let’s look back at some of LPC’s outstanding renovation projects in 2021.

Renovation Project – TC – Motor Product and Service Experience Center

The Hyundai – TC Motot Product and Service Experience Center, also known as CDA Tam Trinh, is a name being mentioned frequently during this period. This is not only because the project was constructed quickly, but also because many advanced construction methods and solutions were applied. As one of the major renovation projects in Hanoi, with requirements for many different functions, the project has been put into use with satisfaction in terms of experience and an “eye-catching” aesthetic appearance of the building.

The CDA Tam Trinh project uses Glass Fiber Reinforced Concrete (GRC), which is highly suitable for renovating old buildings, enhancing aesthetics, improving sound and thermal insulation, and extending the service life of the building. At the same time, it preserves the lines, colors, and textures of the renovated building’s architecture. In addition, Floorcrete reinforced flooring, prefabricated exterior fencing, and a solar-powered roof system were also applied by LPC in this renovation project.

Renovation Project – Renovation of Thanh Cong Automotive Service and Infrastructure Center

Taking on the roles of Construction Supervision Consultant – Project Management – General Design and Construction Contractor, LPC successfully completed the renovation of a building that was more than 10 years old into one of the most modern and optimized Thanh Cong Automotive Service and Infrastructure Centers in Ninh Binh Province.

The challenge was that the project had only 45 days for implementation while the Covid pandemic was at its most complicated stage. However, LPC and the contractor units continued to achieve success with a “super-fast” and “modern” project. The project was highly appreciated by the investor for the quality and professionalism of LPC’s employees during the implementation process.

Renovation Project – Ham Long Office Building

Located on a major arterial road of the capital, the Ham Long Office Building Project is a passion project of all LPC employees and the investor. With the desire to renovate the old building into an office building with optimized space, LPC designed and renovated the project into a 4-story office building on one of the city’s central streets. The Ham Long Office Building Project is truly an attractive building for everyone passing along this street. 

Renovation Project – DSC Securities Joint Stock Company 

Continuing the series of LPC’s renovation projects in 2021. With the trust and support of the investor, LPC continued to take on the renovation of the office interior of DSC Securities Joint Stock Company in Hanoi.

This is one of the interior renovation projects that received “high praise” from many professionals because of its optimized design solutions, demonstrating the full functionality and modern conveniences of the office project. 

Renovation Project – Golf Hotel 3 – 4

In addition to CDA Tam Trinh, the Golf Hotel 3,4 System is also a source of pride for LPC in its role as Design Consultant and Main Construction Contractor. This project, part of the Ho Yen Thang 54-hole golf course tourism and sports complex, is one of LPC’s notable projects. 

The building was constructed 10 years ago with an old architectural style and functions. The task of the team this time was to renovate it into a high-end resort with a full range of services and amenities such as a heated swimming pool, bar, cafe, restaurant,…

The LPC team proposed renovating the project in a Neoclassical architectural style, reorganizing the entire room system, and adding additional landscape and amenity areas.

The most challenging part of the project was technically handling the connection between the new and old structures, as well as the elevations of the areas from the main road and lobby of G3, G4 to the cafe and swimming pool area. In particular, right at the main entrance, there was a very large elevation difference between the road and the main lobby. LPC researched and proposed a solution using a system of steps combined with an overflowing waterfall to create softness and vibrancy.

The “Royal Golf” space promises to be an ideal destination offering wonderful experiences for visitors when they have the opportunity to visit the land of nature and heritage – Ninh Binh!

Looking back at 2021, with many changes and challenges, it was also an opportunity for LPC to take on many “difficult” projects. With experience in Construction Supervision Consulting and Project Management across many construction works, we hope to have opportunities to cooperate with design units to implement many large projects in the future.
