In an era filled with challenges and growing expectations for sustainability, “Green Transformation” is emerging as an important driving force for business development. Join LPC to learn more about green transformation and sustainable development trends for businesses through the article below!
1. What Is Green Transformation?
In daily life, implementing green transformation means actively choosing environmentally friendly products while avoiding polluting products such as plastic bags and single-use plastic items. However, for businesses, green transformation is not simply about choosing green products; it is a process aimed at achieving growth while protecting the environment.
While many countries around the world are facing the challenges of the post-COVID-19 crisis, the importance of sustainable development, particularly in the context of environmental protection, has become more significant than ever. Green transformation, which is being considered and implemented by many countries, has become a solution for a future of harmonious economic and environmental development, promoting sustainable development, protecting biodiversity, and ensuring people's quality of life.

In Vietnam, although the concept of green transformation is still relatively new, many businesses have taken the lead in taking their first steps while spreading positive messages about environmental protection to the community. Green transformation is not only a positive action but also a comprehensive commitment by businesses to a sustainable and environmentally friendly future.
2. Is Green Transformation a Wise Decision for Businesses?
Becoming a “green” business is not an easy challenge. But why are many businesses choosing this new direction?
First, the growing concern among consumers, especially younger generations, about environmental issues is an important factor. They are willing to pay more for environmentally friendly products and support environmental protection. Businesses are moving closer to consumer expectations by building green brands through the use of environmentally friendly products and efforts to minimize harmful environmental impacts.
Second, green transformation helps businesses adapt to global trends. When the European Union–Vietnam Free Trade Agreement (with an external link to information from the relevant association) came into effect, it opened up opportunities for Vietnamese products to be exported to the European market. However, strict environmental standards in Europe can create difficulties for Vietnamese businesses. This presents both a challenge and an opportunity for businesses to understand environmental and sustainable development criteria so that they do not fall behind the global market.

Third, green transformation is not only a trend but also a key to helping businesses strengthen their competitiveness. In a dynamic market filled with a wide range of products and services, competition is becoming increasingly intense. Building a green brand is not only a modern trend but also an important strategy that helps businesses stand out and enhance their competitiveness.
3. Green Transformation and Sustainable Development Trends for Businesses
On October 10, the Department of Industry and Trade of Da Nang City organized an important seminar on the topic “Green Transformation – Sustainable Development Trends for Businesses”. (Add an external link to information about this seminar.) At the event, delegates were provided with detailed information about global developments in supply chains, as well as the importance and urgency of implementing green transformation in the industrial sector toward a circular economy.
The seminar covered Vietnam’s legal regulations related to Net Zero and the implementation roadmap. Representatives from businesses shared the current state of export activities in the context of growing requirements for greener production from today's markets.
In addition, the event placed particular emphasis on providing information about the opportunities and challenges facing the industrial sector when implementing green transformation. The standards and certifications required to meet export market requirements for green transformation were also presented in detail.
At the seminar, delegates agreed that Vietnam needs to identify green transformation and sustainable development as the dominant future trends for businesses. They also proposed strengthening state management to promote efficient and economical energy use, develop renewable energy, and combine green transformation trends with the goal of sustainable development.
The seminar also created an opportunity for businesses to share experiences and support one another in understanding global and Vietnamese green transformation trends, with the aim of developing appropriate green transformation roadmaps based on the specific circumstances of each business.
Green transformation is not merely a temporary trend but also a journey toward a sustainable future for businesses. With growing environmental awareness within the community and pressure from international markets, green transformation and sustainable development trends for businesses will continue to expand. They not only help businesses adapt to increasingly high consumer expectations but also create a competitive advantage in today's business world.
