Imprint at "Building of Year"

“Building of year” has become a familiar name among architects. It is the largest annual event in the international construction industry, honoring outstanding achievements in construction investment and architecture. The competition is organized by the Bulgarian media group “The city”.

In 2019, Vietnam was honored to be among the top entries of the awards with the residential project – PH House in Dong Hoi, designed by lead architect Dang Ngoc Vien of Met Vuong Studio. The project was started in 2018 and has an area of more than 160 m². The use of ventilated breeze-block walls and polished concrete created distinctive features for the house.

Ubot flat slab technology solution

Another outstanding feature that enhances the perfection and modernity of the house is the lightweight, beamless flat ceiling and floor system using Ubot void-forming boxes.

In addition to using Ubot hollow box slab technology to help the project save costs by significantly reducing the amount of concrete and reinforcement compared to traditional slabs, the space also becomes more open and spacious thanks to the streamlined beam system. This allows the architect to easily decorate and arrange the interior.

In addition, the use of green materials – Ubot boxes made from recycled Polypropylene – makes the building “greener” and keeps pace with the trend toward modern, sustainable construction. With these outstanding advantages, PH House deserves to be included among the projects worthy of recognition.
