LPC Attends the Seminar “Startup Story – From Zero to the UBOT Lightweight Slab Green Solution”

The seminar was organized by Lam Pham Construction Co., Ltd. (LPC) with the goal of “spreading human values, sharing, and contributing to the community”.

On the morning of November 12, 2016, Lam Pham Construction Co., Ltd. (LPC) organized the seminar “Startup Story - From Zero to the UBOT Lightweight Slab Green Solution” at Ton Duc Thang University in Ho Chi Minh City. The seminar was attended by more than 100 guests.

The seminar was attended by representatives of LPC, representatives of the Corporate Partnership Center of Ton Duc Thang University, engineers working at LPC, lecturers from the Faculty of Political Economy, and more than 100 students. The seminar “Startup Story - From Zero to the UBOT Lightweight Slab Green Solution” was successfully held with the following main activities:

• Signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between LPC and Ton Duc Thang University.
• Introduction of LPC's scholarship program and presentation of scholarships.
• Sharing of Mr. Lam Minh Duc's - CEO of LPC - startup story.

The seminar was an opportunity for LPC and Ton Duc Thang University to strengthen their relationship, as well as an occasion to sign a “Memorandum of Understanding” between the two parties, with the aim of sustainable development in research, training, internships, career orientation, and developing a Vietnamese workforce with practical qualifications comparable to those in the region.

At the seminar, LPC's scholarship program received considerable interest from the guests, especially the students. LPC's scholarship selection criteria are completely different from those of other organizations and companies, as LPC considers scholarship applications from students whose majors are outside the fields in which LPC operates, as well as students with good and average academic performance if they demonstrate exceptional creativity at the university level or higher.

In addition, the students had the opportunity to participate in direct interviews with LPC to discuss their career orientations. Through these interviews, LPC would also offer internship opportunities to students with special qualities suited to LPC's culture and requirements. Mr. Lam Minh Duc directly presented LPC scholarships to 5 students who demonstrated creativity, knowledge, boldness, and initiative.

In addition, by attending the seminar, the guests not only gained a better understanding of LPC but also had the opportunity to learn about and gain a clearer perspective on LPC's Ubot lightweight slab green solution.

Mr. Do Trung Phuong highlighted the outstanding advantages of the Ubot lightweight slab solution compared with traditional reinforced concrete slab systems, such as its monolithic lightweight structure, ability to achieve large spans, ability to reduce the height of conventional beam-and-slab systems, and the fact that Ubot lightweight slabs are flat and highly aesthetic.

With these advantages, Ubot lightweight slabs deliver significant economic benefits, such as reducing labor costs through simple and fast construction; reducing gypsum ceiling installation costs; and reducing construction costs due to economical storage and transportation. Ubot lightweight slabs are a green construction solution that actively contributes to saving natural resources and protecting the environment.

In addition, Mr. Lam Minh Duc emphasized the applications of Ubot and introduced several major Ubot projects by LPC in Vietnam. Information about LPC's Ubot lightweight slab solution received positive feedback from the guests.

Furthermore, the seminar attracted active interaction from students regarding the startup story of Mr. Lam Minh Duc - CEO of LPC. At the seminar, the students discussed and received direct answers from Mr. Lam Minh Duc regarding the challenges and difficulties encountered when starting a business.

Mr. Lam Minh Duc's lessons and experience provided additional motivation for the students to study and devote themselves to their fullest potential.
