[LPC 2nd Table Tennis Tournament] SPORTS JOURNEY FOR 2021

After 50 exciting matches, sports activities, on the afternoon of December 30, 2020, LPC's management officially organized the final of the 2nd Lam Pham Construction Co., Ltd. Table Tennis Tournament, with 4 final matches taking place in the sports activity room.

The LPC Table Tennis Tournament has become one of the annual sports activities organized by LPC to promote the health and team spirit of the company's employees. Taking place in a special context as the Covid-19 situation was experiencing many complicated developments, LPC nevertheless remained proactive and regularly organized sports activities for its employees. With these objectives, this sporting event also marked the end of 2020 and opened a new journey for 2021. The tournament created a playground for “amateur” players, promoting table tennis training activities in each department and division and throughout the company. After nearly one month of exciting competition, the sports tournament also came to an end with the final 4 matches concluding the competition.

Men's – Women's Doubles Final: A Clash Between Equals in Sports

The men's and women's doubles final took place early in the afternoon between Kim Anh, Tung Duong and Trung Linh, Ngoc Huyen.

Kim Anh and Tung Duong had previous competitive experience in table tennis. After many practice matches together, the pair developed excellent coordination. Meanwhile, Trung Linh – Ngoc Huyen were new players in this season but had never lost a match in the group stage. In particular, these two pairs had faced each other in the qualifying round, where Trung Linh – Ngoc Huyen won. Therefore, this final could be considered a rematch that would bring glory.

Following the entire competition, it came as no surprise that these two pairs reached the final, as their resilience and skill level were both superior to those of the other opponents in the qualifying round.

Entering the match, the Trung Linh – Ngoc Huyen pair quickly overcame their opponents and won the first set with a score of 11–9.

However, thanks to their experience and strong coordination, Tung Duong – Kim Anh quickly regained control of the match and overwhelmed their opponents in the next two sets. The pair quickly won the championship with a score of 11–7, winning 3–2 overall.

Men's Singles Final – Match 1: A Drawn Battle

After the men's – women's doubles final, the men's singles final took place between two players, Van Trung and Huy Cuong. With fierce attacks and persistent defensive ability, player Huy Cuong won 3–1, bringing Group B closer to the championship title.

Men's Singles Final – Match 2: A Major Surprise of the Tournament

The match between Vu Tung and Viet Huong seemed as though it would be one-sided when Vu Tung quickly won the first two sets.

Riding the momentum and maintaining solid form, the player quickly increased his attacking intensity to create a gap over his opponent at the beginning of the third set. However, the Kết Cấu player woke up and took advantage of his opponent's complacency to regain control of the match. The match ended with Viet Huong winning 3–2, bringing Group C back to an even position.

Men's Singles Final – Match 3: Youthful Energy Meets the Former Champion.

The most anticipated matchup in the final was the clash between two players, Van Thuong and former champion Lam Minh Duc.

With sharpness, intelligence, and experience, former champion Lam Minh Duc established his position by taking the lead in the first set of the match. However, opponent Van Thuong, with his youth, effective playing style, and counterattacking ability, quickly regained control and finished the match with scores of 11–9, 11–6, and 11–7, respectively.

With this victory, player Van Thuong helped Group B claim the championship of the 2nd internal Table Tennis Tournament of Lam Pham Construction Co., Ltd.

The 2nd LPC Table Tennis Tournament was a truly “special” season for LPC's internal sports activities, special because of the enthusiasm and passion that everyone devoted to this tournament. Although it took place within an extremely tight schedule, the 2nd LPC Table Tennis Tournament still received the support and affection of everyone who loves sports, which was the motivation that helped the tournament reach this day.
